The SB1101 Universal Motion Control
Module Control with Integrated Digital Drive
Meets the Demands of High Performance Control for AC Induction, DC
Brush and DC Brushless Motors Up to 7.5kW.
The SB1101 is a state-of-the-art single axis
universal all-digital motion control module. It’s a powerful
combination of a programmable controller, a fully digital universal
7.5kW power drive and supply integrated into a compact, rugged metal
chassis.
The SB1101 universal
drive controls any of the following types of motors: AC induction,
DC brush and DC brushless (AC servo/synchronous) with sinusoidal
commutation.
The SB1101 module has
extraordinary programming flexibility. It can control all motion,
time and I/O events in your application. The SB1101 can serve as the
only controller in a complete application, eliminating the need for
a supervising PLC or a PC.
The SB1101 with its
dual processor architecture, has ultra high real-time processing
power. All control loops — position, velocity and current — are
executed at a 20kHz sampling rate, providing uncompromising control
and superb dynamic performance.
Many features are built
into the controller, thus simplifying the task of tailoring it to
frequently encountered applications that require Advanced Pick &
Place, Master/Slave, Electronic Gearing or Electronic Cam. Welding,
Packaging, and Metal Forming and Cutting are examples of
applications that benefit from these useful features.
OEMs will find the
SB1101 well suited for high-speed, high acceleration applications.
The SB1101 has many specific capabilities designed to facilitate the
use of high performance linear motors in demanding applications with
stringent requirements, such as velocity as high as five meters per
second and acceleration as high as 2-5g.
